“We are delighted to honour all of the winners and finalists of the World BSS Awards.” said Hugh Roberts, Chairman of the Awards Judging Panel and Consultant Director for IIR’s BSS, OSS & RM Events. “Judging is hard – but enjoyable – work. The projects and companies chosen as winners always enlighten us, and reflect the ability of the telecoms industry to effectively get to grips with its customer management, information management and transaction processing demands. Convergence – however you choose to define it – only makes this harder, but I have no doubt that telecoms BSS professionals will rise to the challenge!”

Antonia Walter-Krisch, Product Marketing Director of LHS: “We are delighted to win this award.  I think this demonstrates that we continually develop billing solutions that genuinely support the business needs of our customers, both today and for the future.”

Chris Messenger, Revenue Assurance Manager at Nawras: “Our RA team is thrilled to be recognised in this way. The award is a reflection of Nawras’ commitment to strive for excellence across the organisation.”

Gurmit Masson, EMEA Sales Manager at Highdeal: “Being rewarded for innovation is acknowledgement of both the development of our products and our evolution as a company. As well as continuing to meet our telecoms customers increasingly complex charging and billing challenges, we have taken ‘telecoms’ functionality and made it relevant to transaction processing needs in other industries, and we are proud to be the standard bearers.

Eli Krakaer, Director of Sales at cVidya: “This project was a huge challenge in both size and scope, and we are delighted that we were able to work together with Geoff Hammond and his team at BT in successfully implementing MoneyMap. This award is great acknowlegement of the efforts of all of these involved.”

Note for social columnists: all of the Diamonds – supplied by Gassan Diamonds of Amsterdam – were won by women!

Note:
All decisions by the judges have been made in good faith on the basis of written and verbal testimony and background materials received. Additional input and expertise has been sought by the panel where they feel it to be appropriate. The judges have disqualified themselves individually from determining the decision of the group in cases when a potential conflict of interest may arise. Particular attention has been paid by the judges to the ability of the nominated companies in each category to overcome legacy and to develop and maintain powerful and effective relationships with their customers, partners and suppliers. Attention has also been paid to the business models and technical architectures employed, both within and between companies, and to the impact on overall corporate profitability.
